Applicant Information

If you are looking to rent one of our properties, then you’re in the right place!

If you have viewed one of our properties and you want to make an application please contact us to request an application pack. â€‹


Please fill this out with as much information as possible and return it to us at: contact@atkinsrl.co.uk.


At this stage we will also request payment of a holding deposit which will be the equivalent amount to 1 week's rent for the property you are applying for.

This is not a fee as letting agent's and landlords are not legally permitted to charge payments to tenant's for processing their application. This holding deposit will be credited towards your first month's rent when you move into the property.

Please note however, that if you do change your mind at any point and withdraw your application or if you withhold any information from us that may affect your application, we may not be able to refund this amount back to you. This is in accordance with the Tenant Fee Act 2019. 

​

Once you have paid the holding deposit and submitted a fully completed application form, we will check these over and reserve the property for you. We must warn you that a lot of our properties are snapped up very quickly so please don't delay to avoid any disappointment.  

Once we have received your application form and the deposit we will start to process your application straight away.

This will consist of credit checks, references and general back ground checks carried out by an independent third party referencing agency. 

​

Applications usually take around 1 week to complete but do sometimes take either longer or shorter than this depending how quickly the referees response to any questions, for example.

​

Please also note that by signing our application form you are providing authority for us to use the information provided to obtain your references, credit checks and to share this with your new landlord and any future landlord should they request a reference after you have vacated the property. 

​

Once we receive a satisfactory referencing report we will contact you to confirm the next steps to get you moved into your new home. 

​

We are regulated by the government's GDPR regulations as well as the ICO, the PRS and Money Shield for your protection so that you know your data is safe with us.
